Dr. Alex Bobak has created a short Very Brief Advice training module with the National Centre of Smoking Cessation & Training (NCSCT) to help raise the issue of smoking. This training can be accessed by clicking here.

 

There is a short assessment at the end so that you can qualify for a CPD certificate.

 

One You Surrey also offer Very Brief Advice Training free of charge to healthcare professionals in Surrey.

Level 1 Very Brief Advice in Smoking Cessation 

Suitable for groups of 2-30, lasting between 15-60 minutes.

 

Topics include:

 

  • Tobacco & E-Cigarette use
  • Efficacy of a stop smoking service
  • Raising the issue of smoking
  • What a client can expect
  • How to refer/access our service
