ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

This accessibility statement applies to the One You Surrey website: https://oneyousurrey.org.uk/.

This website is run by Thrive Tribe. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

My Computer My Way has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability, and the AT Hive can help you find assistive technologies that work for you.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION ABOUT THIS WEBSITE’S ACCESSIBILITY

Thrive Tribe is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

COMPLIANCE STATUS

The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

NON-ACCESSIBLE CONTENT

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE ACCESSIBILITY REGULATIONS

  • There are some consistent colour contrast issues across the website with white text on teal backgrounds. The Typeform answer text and text controls do not meet contrast requirements. This fails WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) (AA).
  • The Typeform icon controls do not meet contrast requirements. Testimonial carousel control focus indication does not meet contrast requirements. This fails WCAG 1.4.11 Non-text Contrast (AA).
  • Article tiles across several pages contain image links without accessible text names. The One You home link at the top of every page does not have an accessible text name. This fails WCAG 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context) (A).
  • Filter links present at the top of the Advice page do not receive focus indication. This fails WCAG 2.4.7 Focus Visible (AA).
  • When exiting the burger menu at higher magnifications, the user can navigate through main page content which is visually hidden behind the open menu. This fails WCAG 2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured (Minimum) (AA).
  • Article tile link elements are missing accessible text names and excluded from the tab order. This creates a conflict. This fails WCAG 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value (A).

If you find an issue that we have yet to identify, please contact us using one of the routes described in the ‘Feedback and contact information’ section of this statement.

DISPROPORTIONATE BURDEN

At this time, we have made no claims of disproportionate burden.

CONTENT THAT’S NOT WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE ACCESSIBILITY REGULATIONS

At this time, we have not identified any content that is not within scope of the accessibility regulations.

WHAT WE’RE DOING TO IMPROVE ACCESSIBILITY

Thrive Tribe is committed to working through the issues outlined in this statement, and also in keeping up-to-date with any changes or updates to the criteria.

This statement will be updated accordingly when relevant or necessary.
